We are looking for a Handyman on an on-call basis.
You must be a person who is very good with their hands and able to troubleshoot issues and undertake various duties that involve replacing, fixing, and repairing issues indoors and outdoors of properties, including minor plumbing, electrical, and some carpentry.
On average 10-15 calls per month, depending on the period of the year.
Property types include condos, townhomes, or single homes. All are located in the National Capital Region between Kanata and Orleans and Barrhaven/Riverside South to the south.

Requirements:
Experience in general home repairs as noted in tasking examples below.
Must have positive attitude.
Must be flexible to attend to tenants or property management promptly when called upon.
Must be bonded and have insurance; proof of insurance will be required.
Must have own vehicle and tools.
Smartphone is an asset for contact and tasking.

Examples of requests:
- Troubleshoot general house/apartment issues
- Fix doors and change locks
- Minor repairs of electrical items, such as replacement of light bulbs, light fixtures or electrical sockets
- Minor plumbing such as faucet repair/replacement
- Repair and replace general hardware
- Caulk and replace caulking around windows, tubs, etc.
- Remove stains, patch, sand and paint damage on walls when necessary.
- Minor cabinet / carpentry repairs
- Swapping furnace filters and replacing smoke Co detectors
- Laying tiles and applying grout, if needed
- Laying click floor and applying trims, if needed
- Clean properties between tenants (rare 1-2/year)
- Clean rain gutters
- Clean dryer vents
- Remove snow or cut grass (Rare request)
- Gather quotes for special projects (Semi-rare request)
